This week our fresh Jasmine is arriving to our doors! Be the first one to get it!Jasmine Tea is a scented tea with aroma from jasmine blossoms. Typically, it has a base of green tea but could also be tried with White or Black tea. Jasmine Tea is distinctive for its sweet taste and strong floral aroma. This is the scented tea most consumed in China. It was first introduced in China from Eastern Asia during the Han Dinasty. It was not a popular tea until the Qing Dinasty, when they started importing Jasmine tea to the West. The provinces that produce more Jasmine Tea in China are Hunan, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, Guangdong, Guangxi, and Zhejiang.
The most notable antioxidants found in jasmine tea are catechins. Antioxidants work within the body to detect and destroy harmful agents that can cause disease and compromise the immune system.
Studies have shown significant blood and liver cholesterol lowering effects. The catechins found within many types of jasmine tea have been show to be a key factor in inhibiting LDL-oxidation, which is when “bad” cholesterol in your arteries gets inflamed after being oxidized.
Thanks to the strong aroma of the jasmine flower, Jasmine Tea offers tea drinkers natural aromatherapy qualities.
